        Manager– Legal Admin – Legal and Compliance

        Join our Legal team in Hyderabad

        The Legal Admin (LA) team, a sub-team of the Legal department based in Hyderabad, India, undertakes multiple processes that facilitate the smooth functioning of the New York Legal team. Responsibilities include collating information, analyzing content, executing processes, managing databases and documents, interacting with counterparties, and summarizing information in requested formats.

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        In this role, you will oversee all the LA processes from the Hyderabad, India office. You will be responsible for entity administration. As the custodian of all entity-related information housed in the firm's entity management database, you will oversee and update this database in real-time. You will also handle entity-related matters like formations, closures, and qualifications, including drafting and editing some standard legal documents when requested. Additionally, you will manage the legal billing process. You will oversee processing all legal bills pertaining to the New York, London, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, and Mauritius offices while following set protocols to obtain allocations and approvals (all while monitoring until bills are paid). You will also oversee the generation of reports with invoice details, reconciliation of invoices from law firms, and interact with the New York-based Accounts Payable team and law firms to pay bills seamlessly. You will be responsible for memos, org charts and filings. You will oversee the compilation of legal memos and events on SharePoint for New York-based attorneys on a weekly basis. You will oversee the creation, updating, and maintaining the company’s entity structure organization charts and updating the charts on a quarterly basis. You will also oversee tracking, preparing, and submitting all annual report filings within stipulated timelines across various jurisdictions in the U.S. and globally as well (including annual franchise tax filings). You will know your customer. You will satisfy the requests of global counterparties for information as part of their due diligence on clients, provide appropriate standard documentation and negotiate sensitive disclosures. You will handle confidential information on time-sensitive and mission-critical requests. You will become a subject matter expert in a complex system of information about our ownership and control structures, signatory authorities, and documentation protocols. You will also aid and implement new LA processes. You will have to understand, implement, and execute new LA processes to meet enhanced process requirements. You will also manage all existing and future LA projects from start to end, in collaboration with the New York and London LA team members. Lastly, you will be responsible for people management. You will manage the present LA team from the Hyderabad, India office (approx. 30%). The role involves mentoring and leading the LA team to execute deliverables efficiently and on time. You will manage and delegate the flow of projects and prioritize based on deadlines. You are also expected to execute the deliverables (not restricted to managing alone), based on the team’s availability and deadlines (approx. 70%).

        Who we’re looking for

        Basic Qualifications: 

        • A university graduate in Business Administration/Management or any related field with 3 to 6 years of work experience.  Experience in project management will be an added advantage

        • Excellent written and oral communication skills

        • Operational experience and should have managed multiple projects, starting from conception through successful implementation. The candidate should also have prior experience in managing a team (at least a three-member team)

        • Self-motivation, and proficient organizational, editing, proofreading, project-management skills and possess an unwavering eye for detail combined with the ability to deliver consistently in a demanding work environment

        • Qualities of a positive team player; and be flexible enough to give equal opportunity to every team member, practice fairness in delegation of work and aid growth opportunities within the team

        • Quick learning skills and the ability to gain a good grip on the LA processes within a reasonable time of joining, to aid and manage projects and/or process enhancements
