        Principal Analyst - Regulatory Capital Optimization Strategy

        Join our Financial Research team in Hyderabad

        We are looking for resourceful candidates to join our RCOS (Regulatory Capital and Optimization Strategy) team based in Hyderabad within our Financial Research group. The group works closely with the front office team to provide high-quality, in-depth support to the investment research and decision processes of the firm’s global proprietary trading strategies. The team is responsible for undertaking fundamental credit analysis of high yield bond issuers across geographies and working with the front office team to objectively define the credit risk for those companies.

        What you’ll do day-to-day

        In this role, you will be involved in analyzing global corporates with the objective of arriving at an estimated rating and credit opinion for rated/unrated companies across geographies and preparing notes concisely summarizing industry/company/financials specific nuances. You will also prepare quick turnaround memos for high yield /investment grade issuers, identifying, summarizing, and discussing factors that would determine credit quality on a forward-looking basis. Participating in management/broker calls, discussing key areas of concern, and evaluating responses in the context of the credit thesis are also key parts of this role. You will also be expected to aid the front office in reading and evaluating key terms in credit documentation such as term sheets, loan pools, etc. Additionally, you will be required to monitor existing positions by the way of evaluating credit events, rating changes, earnings, etc. and their impact on credit quality. Other ad hoc projects could include analyzing/opining on third-part reports, reviewing financials for propriety, opining on seniority/subordination issues within capital structures, preparing equity RV tables, etc.

        Who we’re looking for

        Basic qualifications:

        • A masters degree in finance or a CFA with 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, along with exceptional fundamental corporate credit analysis skills
        • Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills

         

        Preferred qualifications:

        • Experience in high-yield space
        • Exposure to Synthetic Risk Transfers (SRTs)
