The firm is looking for an Analyst to join our Legal & Compliance team in the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. The Electronic Communications Surveillance team works towards ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements, and identifying potential violations of the firms policies, including, but not limited to, policies for prevention and detection of insider trading, protection of proprietary information and internal policy breaches. The team consults with various business units of the firm, having a thorough understanding of the various trading patterns of these business units, and further utilizes advanced surveillance tools to check for indications of any suspicious activities and communications. The team works closely with global Compliance officers across D. E. Shaw's offices to analyze these issues. This role involves working closely with attorneys and compliance professionals to help ensure that the firm’s business activities are conducted in strict accordance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities involves email monitoring/surveillance to identify risks in electronic communication data to prevent market abuse & insider trading practices.
